Libby Hsu

Head of House

Libby is a lecturer at D-Lab who teaches three classes focusing primarily on participatory design and development, and is also D-Lab’s associate director of academics. Libby’s husband Michael is a performance analyst at Eversource Energy, whose father Noel ‘82 lived in Random Hall during his MIT career. Had they been MIT undergraduates, Libby observed, the two of them would have been naturally drawn to Random Hall’s singular culture. “Randomites remind us of ourselves not too many years ago, and it would be one of the most fulfilling exercises of our lives to support this unique group of individuals,” Libby wrote. Their two budgies, Blue and Charlie, live with them at Random.
