Billing and Fees

Your undergraduate housing contract is for the entire academic year, and per-term pricing can also be found on individual residence pages. Housing costs are paid through your MITPay account and listed in your billing statement.

Billing Rates and Residence Tiers

Your term-based bill is determined by your room type and building tier. Your fall term payment covers September through the Independent Activities Period (IAP). Your spring term charge covers the start of the spring term through spring move-out

Room Damages

Please take care of your spaces and vacate your room in good condition at the end of your stay to avoid any additional charges and ensure a smooth transition for the next occupant.

If damages or trash are found in your room, Housing and Residential Services may assess fees for repairs or cleaning. This is not an exhaustive list, and you may be billed for any additional issues if your room, suite, or apartment is not returned to its original condition.
