Packages and Mailing
Every room and suite in an MIT residence has a separate locked mailbox, which is typically located near the house manager’s office.
Student Addresses
Mail and packages should be properly addressed in order to reach you:

Residence Hall Name
Residence Hall Street Address and Room Number

We understand that some students are traveling far and may want to ship their belongings in advance. On-campus storage space is not available, and your packages will be returned to sender if they arrive before your move-in date.
Reminder
Do not send any mail or packages to arrive before your assigned move-in date. All mail and packages sent before you arrive will be returned to sender.
Receiving a Package
When you receive a delivery, the student front desk will process the package and send you an email when it’s ready to be picked up. You may receive an earlier notification from the shipper confirming delivery, but please wait until you receive an email from the front desk before attempting to retrieve your package. MIT takes reasonable precautions to safeguard oversized packages delivered to students at their residence halls but does not accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or misdelivered parcels.
Forwarding Packages
Once you move out of your residence hall, please leave a forwarding address at the residence hall front desk to ensure your packages are forwarded to the correct place.
