Larry Sass
I am a professor in the Department of Architecture who wants to someday print houses directly from computer models. I have worked as a professional in architectural offices in NYC and Boston before teaching full time. I am also happy to say that I served as a Graduate Resident Tutor in New House in the 1990s. Currently, I teach courses related to design computation to graduate students and undergrads in the Department of Architecture, and my research investigates ways to rapidly produce small structures for communities in need of high quality homes and shelter. Whether teaching my undergraduate courses, conducting research with graduate students or living life at MacGregor, fostering relationships within the MIT community has been my greatest joy. Last, I enjoy traveling and exercise more than ever. My favorite thing to do is cycle to Walden Pond and back on weekends.
