John Ross Campbell

John Ross Campbell is currently Associate Director for Undergraduate Residential Life and Area Director of New Vassar, as well as Interim Area Director for Next House. Prior to this, he served as Area Director of New House since 2013. Originally from Ohio, John Ross moved to the Boston area in 2010. In addition to an undergraduate degree in English and linguistics, John Ross also holds a master's degree in higher education administration and student personnel with a certificate in international higher education from Kent State University. John Ross's favorite part of working at MIT is the opportunity to learn from students, and he enjoys helping students from all backgrounds as they navigate their MIT experience. Outside of MIT, John Ross enjoys reading, the outdoors, exploring Boston and New England, learning to sail, and being a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
