Eden Medina
Eden Medina is Associate Professor of Science, Technology, and Society at MIT. Her research focuses on the role of science and technology in processes of social and political change. She holds a Ph.D. from MIT in the History and Social Studies of Science and Technology, a Master in Studies of Law from Yale Law School, and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University. At MIT she teaches courses such as Data and Society, Computers and Social Change, and Science, Technology, and Human Rights She also teaches the course Tales of Two Parallels on the history of the East Campus residence. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys dance and loves going to the ballet. She sang in a band for ten years, but now sings around the house, especially when no one is home. Other interests include travel, zombie movies, and, more recently, indoor rock climbing. Getting to know students is her favorite part of being a professor.
